Nguyen Hoa Binh leads working group on administrative procedure reform

Under Prime Minister's Decision 998/QD-TTg, dated September 17, Nguyen is the new head of the working group, replacing former Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang who was appointed as Chairman of the Central Economic Commission last August.

The working group comprises two new deputy heads including Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long who replaced their predecessors Mr. Le Thanh Long and Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc.  

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc was appointed as a member of the working group.

The working group, established on August 6, 2023 is in charge of assisting the Prime Minister in directing the implementation of tasks and solutions to reform administrative procedures and strengthen policy response capacity.

It is also responsible for putting forward solutions to handle legal bottlenecks raised by individuals and businesses.

In the first half of this year, up to 2,870 documents were issued to serve administrative reform, and 168 business conditions, along with 247 administrative procedures either reduced or simplified.

The number of ministry-level public administrative units was cut by 33, and personnel at ministries, agencies and localities downsized by 3,853./.
