New Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Huy Dung
Nguyen is an alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Specialized Member of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
Born in 1983 in Ha Noi, Nguyen was an information technology engineer with a bachelor of economics.
He served as Director General of the Department of Information Security; Director General of the Department of Informatization; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology in charge of network security, digital transformation, digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy and digital society; and Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee.
In 2023, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung was selected by the World Economic Forum (WEF) into the list of Outstanding Young Global Leaders, recognizing his international cooperation efforts and contributions to the development of digital technology in socio-economic fields in Viet Nam and the world./.
