NA Standing Vice Chairman receives KOVECA delegation
VGP - National Assembly Standing Vice Chairman Do Van Chien received a delegation from the Korea-Viet Nam Economic and Cultural Association (KOVECA), led by KOVECA Chairman Kwon Sung Teak, at the National Assembly House in Ha Noi on September 23.

Welcoming the delegation to the National Assembly House, Do Van Chien, Politburo member and NA Standing Vice Chairman, spoke highly of KOVECA's role and contributions to promoting the Viet Nam-Republic of Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
He noted that economic and trade cooperation is a key pillar of bilateral relations. The Republic of Korea is currently Viet Nam's largest investor, the second-largest source of tourists, second-largest ODA provider, third-largest trading partner, and third-largest market for Vietnamese workers.
Do acknowledged and appreciated KOVECA's role as a bridge connecting Vietnamese localities, including Tuyen Quang Province, with Korean businesses and investors, introducing the localities' potential, advantages and investment environment, and supporting them in establishing friendly and cooperative ties with Korean localities.
He expressed his hope that KOVECA would continue to promote and expand cultural exchanges as well as economic and tourism cooperation between the two countries and their localities.
For his part, KOVECA Chairman Kwon Sung Teak thanked Do Van Chien for receiving the delegation and affirmed that KOVECA would continue making every effort to promote cooperation between the two countries and their localities in the fields of economy, culture and tourism.
He said KOVECA would strengthen experience-sharing activities and cooperation in agricultural development, processing and manufacturing industries, supporting industries, high-tech projects, renewable energy and the green economy, while promoting OCOP products.
Regarding people-to-people exchanges, Do Van Chien noted that November 18 is observed annually as the Great National Solidarity Day in Viet Nam. He expressed his wish that the Great National Solidarity Day could also be organized in countries with large Vietnamese communities, including the Republic of Korea.
He emphasized that promoting the organization of the Great National Solidarity Day among the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea would help further strengthen people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and provide Korean people with an opportunity to learn more about and connect with Viet Nam's cultural traditions.
In reply, Kwon Sung Teak pledged that KOVECA would make every effort to further promote people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and strengthen the bonds between the peoples of Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea, particularly through the organization of the Great National Solidarity Day among the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea./.
