Military officer promoted to rank of Senior Lieutenant General

VGP - Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politic Affairs of the Viet Nam People's Army has been promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General, the second higest ranking in the army.

President Luong Cuong (R) presents the decision to promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Viet Nam People's Army Le Quang Minh, Ha Noi, December 11, 2024

President Luong Cuong handed over the promotion decision to Le at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Ha Noi on December 11.

Addressing the ceremony, President Luong congratulated Le on his promotion on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of Viet Nam's National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Viet Nam People's Army.

The President expressed his belief that Le would continue to promote the glorious tradition of the heroic Viet Nam People's Army, maintain revolutionary ethics, and be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people.

For his part, Le vowed to continue to preserve revolutionary moral qualities, and stand ready to complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, Army and people./.
