Leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on 79th National Day
VGP - A delegation of leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Ha Noi on August 30, on the occasion of the 79th National Day of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945-2024).
Prominent among them were General Secretary and President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.
On September 2, 79 years ago, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam, now the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
President Ho Chi Minh was a talented leader, a national hero who devoted his entire life to the national independence and freedom and happiness of the people while tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world.
In the morning the same day, delegations from the Central Military Commission - the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee - the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the municipal Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Ha Noi also laid wreaths in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen combatants./.
