Leaders congratulate U.S. on 249th Independence Day
VGP - General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended their congratulations to U.S. President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 249th Independence Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-U.S. diplomatic ties.

Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man sent his messages of congratulations to President of the Senate James David Vance and Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
In their congratulatory messages, Vietnamese senior leaders reaffirmed they consistently regard the U.S. as one of Viet Nam's partners of strategic importance and welcome the U.S. support for a "strong, independent, self-reliant, and prosperous" Viet Nam.
Looking back the 30-year journey since the official establishment of diplomatic relations, particularly following the elevation of ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership, the senior Vietnamese leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive progress in bilateral cooperation across all fields, at the bilateral, regional, and international levels.
They also emphasized Viet Nam's readiness to work with the U.S. to further advance the Viet Nam–U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership towards a more effective and substantive manner, bringing tangible benefits to their people and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and around the world.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son telegraphed a congratulatory message to Secretary of State Marco Rubio./.
