Le Hoai Trung appointed as new Chairman of Party Central Committee Office
VGP – The Politburo has decided to assign Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Central Commission for External Affairs, as new Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Office, replacing his predecessor Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

On January 23, the Party Central Committee elected Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chairman of the Party Central Committee Office, to the Politburo and assigned him to serve as Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.
The Party Central Committee also agreed to end the operation of the Central Commission for External Affairs and transfer the its functions and tasks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Le Hoai Trung, aged 64, is a member of the Party Central Committee (12th and 13th tenures) and Secretary of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee.
He joined the diplomatic sector in 1982 and was appointed Deputy Foreign Minister in December 2010.
