Lao media highlights results of President Vo Van Thuong's official visit
VGP - Lao newspapers and radio and television stations on April 11 and April 12 published a series of articles, photos, and programs highlighting the activities and outcomes of the official visit to Laos by President Vo Van Thuong from April 10-11.

In its article published on April 12, PathetLao, a publication of the Laos News Agency KPL, affirmed that the Vietnamese State leader's visit aimed to strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The article "Congratulations on achievements in comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Viet Nam" focused on the outcomes of talks between the two leaders.
It underlined that they had consented to continue effectively implementing high-level agreements between the two Parties and countries and those at ministerial and local levels. This has ultimately created a new impetus to reinforce bilateral relations further.
Meanwhile, Laotian Party newspaper Pasaxon highlighted that President Sisoulith praised the Vietnamese leader's decision to choose Laos as the first foreign country to visit in his position of President.
The newspaper quoted Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith as highly appreciating that Comrade Vo Van Thuong chose Laos as the first country to visit in a series of diplomatic activities as President.
This shows the Party and State of Viet Nam attach importance to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Viet Nam.
The newspaper also reviewed the results of linkages accross areas between the two countries over recent time.
During the visit, leaders of the two countries stressed that the great friendship, special solidarity, and all-around cooperation enjoyed fruitful developments and are now in their best period of growth. Indeed, both sides affirmed their determination to practically preserve and promote this unique relationship.
Vientiane Times also solemnly published on the front page an article mentioning that President Vo Van Thuong met with key Lao leaders during his visit.
The only English-language newspaper of Laos said that the two countries leaders agreed to work together to strengthen ties further and support each other through bilateral and multilateral frameworks in the regional and international arena./.
