Lao Airlines resumes direct flights to Da Nang
VGP - Lao Airlines officially resumed direct flights from Vientiane to Da Nang City, central Viet Nam, on March 30.
The first air passengers are warmly welcomed
The first flight QV317 from Vientiane carried nearly 150 passengers to Da Nang - one of Viet Nam's favorite tourist destinations.
The Vientiane Da Nang air route will see two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The Da Nang Tourism Department said that the direct flight plays an important role to tourism development in the central city and serves to boost connectivity not only between Da Nang and Laos but also between Da Nang and the North East region of Thailand.
Last year, Da Nang received nearly 10,000 Lao tourists, accounting for 2.1 percent of the total number of foreign visitors to the central city, making Laos the tenth largest tourism source market of Da Nang.
On May 9, 2022, Lao Airlines resumed direct flights to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City after Viet Nam reopened its borders to international travellers./.
