Viet Nam becomes Laos’ third biggest trading parter in January
VGP - Viet Nam has emerged as the third biggest trading partner of Laos’ in January with the two-way trade reaching US$65 million.
Laos’ total trade value in the month was estimated at US$935 million, of which its export value stood at US$461, which means the country recorded a trade deficit of US$13 million.
The two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Laos reached US$99.2 million in January, a year-on-year decrease of 27.3 percent.
China remained the top importer of Laos' goods with US$ 156 million, followed by Thailand with US$ 128 million.
In 2022, two-way trade between Viet Nam and Laos increased by 24 percent against the previouos year to arround US$1.7 billion./.
