King of Thailand vows to foster implementation of cooperation projects with Viet Nam
VGP - Thailand will continue enhancing the implementation of cooperation projects sponsored by the Thai Royal Family, said King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn.
The Thai King made that above statement on Friday while hosting a reception for President Nguyen Xuan Phuc who is paying an official visit to Thailand and attending the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
The King of Thailand congratulated Viet Nam on its socio-economic development and recovery in the post-COVID-19 period.
For his part, Nguyen expressed his delight on strong development of Thailand in the post-coronavirus period, expecting that the nation will gain more success in its national development process and uphold its status in the region and the world.
The President spoke highly of the King of Thailand's visits to Viet Nam in 1992 and 1997 when he was Crown Prince, adding that the visits are significant, which have consolidated and deepened the friendly ties and multifaceted cooperation between the two sides.
He highly appraised projects sponsored by the Thai Royal Family in Viet Nam in such areas as education and community development, which help improve lives for local people in rural areas.
The guest hoped that the Thai King and Government will continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese community in the country and advocate the development of Viet Nam's culture in Thailand to enhance mutual knowledge and exchanges.
He invited the Thai King and Queen to pay a visit to Viet Nam at an appropriate time./.
