KIM LONG MOTOR truck manufacturing plant inaugurated in Hue

The plant, covering an area of 10 hectares, is equipped with modern production lines featuring a high level of automation and the application of world-leading technologies.
It aims to produce around 20,000 vehicles per year for the domestic market and gradually expand exports to countries in the region.
Addressing the ceremony, General Director of KIM LONG MOTOR Dao Viet Anh said, the on-schedule inauguration of the truck manufacturing plant not only demonstrates the company's capability in project management, but more importantly, marks a strategic milestone in expanding KIM LONG MOTOR's product portfolio and developing its commercial vehicle segment.
"We identify localization and mastery of core technologies as the guiding principle for building a sustainable automotive manufacturing ecosystem in Viet Nam", he noted.
In the coming period, KIM LONG MOTOR will continue to promote investment cooperation, joint ventures, and partnerships to develop a system of supporting automotive industries, including gearboxes, glass, wiring, composite plastics, aiming to gradually increase the localization rate of its products to over 90 percent, participate more deeply in the global value chain, and boost exports, he emphasized.
At the event, KIM LONG MOTOR officially introduced four brand-new truck models under the KIM LONG brand, including: KIMAN 9 (with payloads of 1.99 tons and 2.49 tons), KIMLONG X9 VAN, and a fully electric van truck GK48-EV./.
