Hoi An street named among world’s most beautiful
VGP - Tran Phu Street in Hoi An, a UNESCO world cultural heritage site, was ranked 45th in the list of the 71 most beautiful streets in the world by the American architecture magazine Architectural Digest.
Architectural Digest wrote: Hoi An, a very prosperous trading port bustling with activity from the 15th to the 19th century, is a popular tourist destination for many reasons, the most notable being the monthly lantern festival held on Tran Phu Street.
"The festival celebrates the full moon by lighting candles and placing them inside colorful paper lanterns. Residents of Tran Phu Street have been following this tradition for centuries," the magazine highlighted.
Tran Phu Street, located in Minh Anh ward, is approximately 1 kilometer long, with one end connecting to Hoang Dieu Street and the other ending at the Japanese Covered Bridge. This road is in the center of Hoi An's ancient town.
Earlier, British magazine Time Out ranked Hoi An 7th in its list of the 13 best places to travel in this July.
Hoi An Ancient Town in the central province of Quang Nam, topped the list of the safest solo travel destinations in the world, according to Smoky Mountains.
Hoi An was also named in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), according to UNESCO's announcement on the occasion of World Cities Day./.
