Ha Noi to set firework displays on September 2

VGP - On September 2, firework displays will take place at five locations including Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Viet Nam.

This is part of a plan signed by Chairman of Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Earlier, the Ministry of National Defense released a project on military parade and march organization with the participation of 30,000 people on September 2 at Ba Đinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence declaring the birth of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam (now the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam) on September 2, 1945.

Specific program includes:

- 6.30am: Traditional torch procession

- 6.45am: Flag-raising ceremony

- 6.50am: Ceremony announcement, delegate introduction

- 7.05am: Speeches by Party and State leaders

- 7.45am: Parade and march program

- 9.45am-10am: Art performance

Preliminary rehearsal will be held at 9.00 pm on August 27 (Wednesday) with reserve date on August 28 (Thursday). Final rehearsal will take place at 7:00 am on August 30 (Saturday) with reserve date August 31 (Sunday).

Ha Noi also plans to arrange a total of 270 screens and 400 loudspeakers on roads, gateways and public places to help people, especially in the suburbs, to watch the event live, while reducing traffic pressure on the central area where the main celebration will take place./.
