Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Accordingly, the capital city will organize fireworks displays at five locations (Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, Tay Lake) on the evening of September 2.

The city will work with the Government Office to organize Lunar New Year visits, incense offerings, flower offerings, and commemorate heroic martyrs; coordinate with the Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences to organize a National Scientific Conference; work with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to design logos and identification documents to celebrate the anniversaries.

On the occasion, a gratitude meeting will also be held with a special art program and cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities.

The city will also coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and Viet Nam Television to organize a live television bridge to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Earlier, the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security were tasked to coordinate relevant agencies to proactively prepare a grand parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

On May 12, the General Staff of the Việt Nam People’s Army held a conference to launch the organisational plan for the military and militia forces participating in the parade for the 80th anniversary celebration. The plan includes 11 stationary formations and 27 marching contingents./.
