Ha Noi named among the world’s 20 happiest cities: Time Out
VGP - Ha Noi was ranked fifth among Asia’s happiest cities and 17th among the world’s happiest cities in 2025, according to a survey conducted by British magazine Time Out.

This year's survey gathered responses from more than 18,000 urban residents across Asia, measuring their satisfaction with life in their cities based on factors such as culture, nightlife, food, walkability, affordability and quality of life, among other things..
The results showed that 88 percent of Ha Noi residents said they feel happy living in the city, a rate equal to that of Thailand's Chiang Mai.
However, Viet Nam's capital city ranked higher in two aspects: more respondents said that the city's residents are optimistic and that they easily find joy in simple daily pleasures — from a morning cup of coffee, a street-side meal, to leisurely walks around the lakes or joining community activities.
Ha Noi is the only Vietnamese city to make the list. This recognition highlights how Viet Nam's capital is increasingly celebrated internationally not only for its cultural heritage but also for its positive quality of life.
Earlier, Time Our released a list of the 15 most loved cities in the world by tourists, with Ha Noi ranking 11th.
