Ha Noi kick-starts construction of Tu Lien bridge
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday attended the ground-breaking ceremony of Tu Lien Bridge linking Ha Noi's Tay Ho and Dong Anh districts.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham highlighted the significance of the project which will enhance connectivity between the two districts and between the capital city and neighboring provinces.
Specifically, the project would improve linkages between Ha Noi downtown and the National Exhibition Center and Gia Binh airport.
The Government leader stressed that the project must be completed within 24 months to mark the 137th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday in May 2027.
The Tu Lien Bridge construction investment project and the road at both ends of the bridge (from the intersection with Nghi Tam Street to the intersection with Truong Sa Street) includes 4 component projects (including 3 component projects for site clearance; 1 construction investment project) with a total investment of about VND 20,171 billion (site clearance VND 4,332 billion; construction investment VND 15,839 billion).

The total length of the project is about 5.15km, starting point connecting with Nghi Tam street, Tay Ho district, ending point connecting with Truong Sa street, Dong Anh district.
This is the 18th bridge over the Red River that the capital city plans to build through 2030, vision to 2050.
The city is set to build other six bridges over the river this year, namely Hong Ha bridge, Me So bridge (Ring Road 4), Thuong Cat, Ngoc Hoi bridge (Ring Road 3.5); Tran Hung Dao bridge and Van Phuc bridge," Chairman of the Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said./.
