Pham urged delegation to advise the Vietnamese Government on refining policies and strengthening sustainable economic cooperation with the U.S.
He also called on the U.S. to lift trade barriers on Vietnamese exports, recognize Viet Nam's market economy status soon, and remove Viet Nam from the U.S. Department of Commerce's list of restricted hi-tech exports.
The Government also took the occasion to suggest that the two sides cooperate in sci-tech and innovation, including technology transfers and workforce training support, energy development, and infrastructure projects such as railways, aviation, and maritime systems.
He called on the American companies to establish aircraft maintenance centers at Long Thanh and Gia Binh airports, set up partnerships in modern digital infrastructure, 5G commercialization and 6G research..

In reply, Ted Osius said that Viet Nam will be the fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia.
"Notably, Viet Nam's reforms align with the priorities of the U.S. Administration, including promoting sustainable supply chains, opening the market for U.S. products, and creating a playing field for U.S. businesses," emphasized the USABC Chairman.
"We support investments between Viet Nam and the U.S., including investments in the gas sector, ensuring a stable and long-term supply of liquefied natural gas for Viet Nam, and efforts to improve the bilateral trade balance between the two countries," shared Mr. Ted Osius./.
