The above information was confirmed by Deputy Regional Managing Director and Viet Nam Chief Representative for the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).

It is an opportunity for businesses from both countries to exchange ideas, seek cooperation opportunities, and jointly respond to policy changes.

At a dialogue between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and American enterprises in Viet Nam held in Ha Noi last weekend, Pham called upon American enterprises to consider Viet Nam as their long-term investment base with a vision of 50 years, 100 years.

He hoped that American companies would actively support technology transfer, workforce training, and sustainable development in Viet Nam, focusing on emerging industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, biotechnology, and advanced materials.

The Prime Minister called on American businesses to assist Vietnamese companies in integrating into U.S. and global supply chains, and to view Viet Nam as a strategic investment hub.

Pham also asked American investors to conduct business responsibly, respecting both Vietnamese law and environmental standards, while also contributing to Viet Nam's social welfare programs.

Over the past 20 years, the U.S. has been Viet Nam's largest export market, while Viet Nam has become the U.S.'s seventh-biggest trading partner and the largest partner in ASEAN.

In 2024, bilateral trade neared US$150 billion, with Viet Nam exporting US$137 billion to the U.S. (19 percent increase compared to 2023) and the U.S. exporting over US$13 billion to Viet Nam (33 percent increase).

In terms of investment, as of the end of 2024, U.S. investors poured US$11.94 billion in more than 1,400 projects, ranking 11th among countries and territories investing in Viet Nam./.
