Gov't announces 70 priority high technologies
VGP - The Government has promulgated Decision No. 23/2026/QD-TTg on the list of 70 high technologies prioritised for development and another list of 100 high-tech products eligible for development incentives.

Specifically, priority high technologies include artificial intelligence (AI), big data and data analytics, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, quantum technology, renewable and clean energy, advanced energy storage, AI-powered real-time disaster forecasting and warning systems, and next-generation microbiology technologies.
Meanwhile, high-tech products eligible for development incentives comprise systems, equipment, and software for identification, analysis, forecasting, and control based on artificial intelligence and data; platforms supporting AI research, development, and application; software for personalized learning pathways based on big data; smart education and training systems and equipment for STEAM; unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); environmentally friendly transportation vehicles using new energy sources; biopharmaceuticals applied in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture; next-generation vaccines, medical biological products, and diagnostic biological products.
The decision shall take effect on July 1, 2026, replacing Decision No. 38/2020/QD-TTg, dated on December 30, 2020.
