To, who is on a four-day State visit to South Korea, called on Busan to expand investment in priority sectors such as science and technology, satellite urban development, logistics, and tourism.

The Party leader briefed Mayor Park on the outcomes of his high-level talks with President Lee Jae Myung, including the mutual agreement to support and facilitate cooperation between localities of the two countries. He stressed that this is a strategic opportunity for Busan and Vietnamese localities to elevate their substantive cooperation.

He suggested that Busan share its development models and smart port operation experience, particularly for potential projects in Viet Nam's key coastal economic zones, and explore stronger connectivity and support Viet Nam's film industry.

To also congratulated on the remarkable development achievements of Busan - South Korea's second-largest economic hub and the world's fifth-largest port city, and hailed its excellent relations with Vietnamese localities.

Mayor Park reaffirmed Busan's vital role in advancing economic cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and Viet Nam as a whole, reiterating the city's commitment to deepening collaboration with Viet Nam's southern economic hub in order to transform Busan into a global administrative center.

Welcoming the Party chief's proposals, the mayor pledged to continue cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and other Vietnamese localities in areas of mutual strength, contributing to the implementation of agreements reached by high-ranking leaders of both sides.

He also affirmed Busan's readiness to support the newly established Vietnamese Consulate General, and to protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese citizens in the city—helping them contribute to Busan's development and further strengthen the Viet Nam–South Korea friendship./.
