The event was held as part of the Vietnamese leader's four-day State visit to South Korea.

The forum, which saw the participation of representatives from 400 leading enterprises from both countries, was not only an opportunity for enhancing connectivity between business communities but also played an important role in promoting bilateral economic, trade, and investment ties.

Addressing the event, Korean Prime Minister Kim affirmed that South Korea stands ready to work with Viet Nam to diversify supply chain and ensure energy security, adding that the memoranda of understanding signed during the visit will serve as a solid foundation for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the future.

He expressed his belief that with its young workforce, attractive investment environment, a network of trade agreements, and new development orientations, Viet Nam will achieve its development goals and become a high-income country by 2030 and 2045.

South Korea wishes to expand comprehensive cooperation with Viet Nam and, with the experience of creating the "Miracle on the Han River," the country will always join hands with Viet Nam to create a "Miracle on the Red River", noted the host.

To, for his part, expected that relevant ministries and agencies in South Korea will continue to promote dialogue and investment connectivity, facilitate Vietnamese enterprises to expand investment and operate effectively in South Korea, and enable Vietnamese goods to gain easier access to the South Korean market.

He urged both sides to work together to achieve the target of raising the bilateral trade turnover to US$100 billion by 2025 and US$150 billion by 2030.

The Vietnamese leader called on the two sides to continue increasing official development assistance (ODA), with a focus on strategic infrastructure development, including transportation infrastructure, energy infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and infrastructure for climate change adaptation.

He emphasized the need to make science and technology development and innovation a key pillar in cooperation between the two sides, particularly in supporting business growth and socio-economic development.

To expressed his hope that South Korean companies will continue to increase their presence in Viet Nam, especially such areas as clean and green energy, heavy industries including electronics, automobiles, shipbuilding, chemicals, steel, strategic materials, semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, as well as high-quality services in healthcare, education, and urban development, particularly green and smart urban areas./.
