General Secretary and President To Lam and his Spouse arrive in Singapore on Friday morning, staring his three-day State visit to Singapore

During his visit, General Secretary and President To Lam is expected to deliver a keynote speech at the Shaingri-la Dialogue on May 29, marking the first time that the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam will deliver the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue.

Singapore is the second led of General Secretary and President To Lam's ongoing tour to ASEAN countries, which also takes him to Thailand and the Philippines.

The relationship between Viet Nam and Singapre is actually very long standing and broad-based and both countries have very strong cooperation in a range of areas: economic, social, cultural, people-to-people, and the political field, Singaporean Ambassador to Viet Nam Rajpal Sing told reporters ahead of the visit.

Ambassador Rajpal Sing noted that General Secretary and President To Lam has set out a very ambitious growth target for Viet Nam, including double-digit growth for the next five years. He has also introduced wide-ranging reforms in both policy and administration.

Given the above context, "I can say that Singapore is very optimistic about Viet Nam's future growth," said the diplomat./.
