FDI attraction in Ha Noi up over 10% in 2022
VGP - The capital city of Ha Noi attracted US$1.692 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2022, up 10.3 percent against the previous year, announced the municipal Department of Planning and Investment.
The above figure includes US$233 million for 365 newly-registered projects year and US$834 million added to the existing projects.
Foreign investors poured US$625 million in capital contribution and share purchase, up 83.8 percent.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said that the city has been ranked among top localities nationwide in terms of favorable investment environment.
Besides upgrading infrastructure at industrial parks, the city has strengthened administrative procedure reform and carried out tax and land incentives to attract more investment from big enterprises and corporation, he emphasized.
Ha Noi targets to lure US$30-40 billion in FDI with disbursed volume reaching US$20-30 billion during the 2021-2025 period, focusing on projects in fields of smart city, IT, R&D, tourism, banking and finance and high-tech agriculture.
A total number of 29,600 enterprises with total registered capital of VND328,400 billion were established in the city in 2022./.
