Bui reiterated that Viet Nam attaches importance to strengthening its comprehensive partnership with the UAE and welcomes the appointment of the UAE Minister of Investment as the focal minister for bilateral cooperation.

He urged the UAE to continue cooperation with Viet Nam in carrying out projects in fields of high-tech, artificial intelligence, data centers, and accelerating digital transformation.

Regarding energy cooperation, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed the UAE consider building a crude oil and petrochemical products transshipment and storage center in Viet Nam and support the Southeast Asian country in green transition and renewable energy development.

He suggested both countries quickly ratify and effectively implement the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to achieve the trade goal of US$20 billion as agreed by their senior leaders.

Bui called on the UAE, with its expertise in operating a leading regional financial center, to share its experience in improving institutional frameworks, and attracting investors to participate in Viet Nam's international financial center and free trade zone projects.

Alsuwaidi, for his side, welcomed Bui's participation in the World Government Summit 2025 which will take place in the UAE, from February 11-13.

The UAE is particularly interested in areas such as high technology, artificial intelligence, energy, and logistics and highly appreciates the investment and business environment in Viet Nam, he noted.

He said that an increasing number of UAE businesses and investment funds are seeking for investment opportunities in Viet Nam, pleding he will further enhance his role as the focal minister for bilateral cooperation, promoting collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.

Both sides vowed to continue fostering the implementation of cooperation projects that have been agreed by their senior leaders, such as the UAE's investment in helping Viet Nam build a youth football academy for Ha Noi Police Football Club, and an investment project for rice cultivation in Viet Nam for exports to ensure food security for the UAE./.
