The Deputy Prime Minister hailed Warburg Pincus's long-term partnership and sustainable investment in Viet Nam over the past 12 years, with a total committed investment volume exceeding US$2 billion.

He welcomed the private equity firm's proposal to invest in the construction of an expressway connecting Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai Province) with Ho Tram (Ho Chi Minh City), and urged the company to promptly implement the project to attract more international visitors to Ho Tram.

Bui called on Warburg Pincus to assist Viet Nam in developing its capital market, Vietnamese enterprises in participating in the firm's supply chain. He also asked the firm to promote the U.S. Administration's recognition of Viet Nam as a market economy and lifting of restrictions on high-tech exports to the Southeast Asian nation.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government stands ready to engage in dialogue, listen to opinions, and address the proposals and recommendations of businesses in the spirit of "harmonized interests and shared risks".

Li, for his side, expressed his impression of Viet Nam's recent positive reforms, and congratulated the nation on maintaining a high GDP growth rate amid significant changes in global tax policies.

Warburg Pincus will continue to serve as an "ambassador" for investment and trade connections between Viet Nam and the U.S., and advocate the strong development of the bilateral ties, underlined the guest./.
