Deputy PM holds phone conversation with South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on August 6 had a phone conversation with South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun.

Bui congratulated Cho on his appointment as the top diplomat of South Korea, expressing his belief that Cho will make important contributions to enhancing South Korea's international standing, as well as the Viet Nam–South Korea relationship.
Cho, for his part, affirmed that he will continue to closely work with Vietnamese side to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations across all areas.
Both sides vowed to enhance political trust via all-level delegation exchanges, including the preparation for upcoming high-level visits.
They pledged to boost stronger ties in the fields of economy, trade, and investment, encourage South Korean businesses to pour more investment in Viet Nam, and create favorable conditions for enterprises of both countries to access each other's markets.
Both diplomats underlined the need to step up collaboration in security and defense, science and technology, and support each other at international forums, including the ASEAN–South Korea and Mekong–South Korea mechanisms.
They also affirmed their commitment to join hands in successfully organizing the APEC 2025 Korea in South Korea and the Mekong-Republic of Korea Summit at the end of 2025./.
