Tran is the first high-ranking leader of Viet Nam attending the event, which affirms the nation's policy of attaching importance to the relations with India, and advocating initiatives and forums hosted by India in accordance with the interests of both sides and the international community.

Addressing the summit, the Deputy PM hailed its contents focusing on new development drivers and trends, including green economy, circular economy, digital economy, and smart cities, adding that these are priorities of Viet Nam during its development and international integration process.

Tran called on governments to need to create a policy and legal framework and an investment and business environment that is favorable, stable, transparent and fair while launching strategies and plans consistently.

The public investment capital needs to play a leading role, he stated, emphasizing the necessity of effectively attracting resources from the private sector and foreign investment.

Developed countries should increase support for developing countries in terms of capital, technology transfer, techniques, modern management, and human resource training, the Deputy PM recommended.

As a fast-growing and dynamic economy and the 5th largest economy in the world, India can increasingly promote its leading role in this process, Tran said.

The traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and India have continuously developed across all sectors, noted Tran, adding that Viet Nam highly appraises the effective assistance of India in human resource training, science and technology development, energy transition and digital transformation.

As a trusted partner and an active and responsible member of the international community, Viet Nam always welcomes and stands ready to facilitate Indian enterprises to launch long-term investment and business in the country, highlighted Tran.

The fruitful cooperation between the two nations not only brings benefits for their business communities and peoples, but also makes substantive contributions to prosperous and sustainable peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, the Vietnamese leader shared./.
