Da Nang, German Thuringia state establish cooperative relations
VGP - The central city of Da Nang and Germany’s Thuringia state have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on establishing cooperative and friendship relations.
The MoU was signed by Chairman of the Da Nang Party Committee Le Trung Chinh and Minister-President of Thuringia Bodo Ramelow at a meeting in the state on May 22.
Under the MoU, the cooperative relations cover all the fields of human resources development, investment, trade, science, innovation, and cultural exchange.
During their working session on the same day, Le Trung Chinh called on the Minister-President to continue helping Da Nang connect with German organizations and enterprises to promote cooperative ties.
He expressed his hope that the partnership will generate numerous practical benefits not only in human resources development, investment, trade, science, and innovation but also in cultural exchange.
In 2023, Da Nang earned an export value of US$30 million and imported some US$23 million worth of goods from Germany.
The city has attracted 13 investment projects worth over US$11 million from the European country, focusing on such areas as hospitality, IT, construction consulting, and transportation./.
