Other major topics include the socio-economic performance in 2016, international integration process following the country’s signing of new-generation free trade agreements, and Party building work.

The Government has convened a meeting recently to finalize a report on the socio-economic performance in 2016 to submit to the CPVCC and the National Assembly’s second working session scheduled to open this month. Thorough analysis of this year’s socio-economic situation will provide foundations for identifying key goals and solutions of the next year’s socio-economic development plan.

According to the General Statistics Office, the economy continued growth trajectory, expanding 5.93% in the first nine months this year.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged inferior levels to take specific measures in the fourth quarter to achieve the full-year expansion of 6.3-6.5% as the last quarter “contains many good conditions, allowing to boost the GDP.”
