Prime Minister calls on Chinese businesses to join major infrastructure projects in Viet Nam
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested Chinese big corporations to participate in major transportation infrastructure projects in Viet Nam while hosting a reception for a delegation of Chinese construction companies in Ha Noi on Monday.

The delegation was led by Yan Jiehe, the founder and Chairman of the China Pacific Construction Group (CPCG) and Susun Construction Group.
These corporations are among the world's top 500 companies. In 2023, the CPCG reported a total revenue of nearly US$80 billion.
Pham said the Vietnamese government encourages Chinese enterprises to expand investment cooperation in such areas as infrastructure development (especially transportation infrastructure), innovation, emerging industries related to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, green development, renewable energy, smart urban infrastructure, and high-quality manufacturing industries.
He urged the CPCG and other Chinese businesses to explore the possibility of taking part in the construction of Tu Lien Bridge in Ha Noi, several urban railways in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City and cross-border railway projects linking Viet Nam and China.
Leaders from Chinese corporations hailed Viet Nam's rapid development, friendly investment environment, numerous free trade agreements (FTAs) the nation has signed, and its abundant, young workforce, as well as the country's potentials and advantages for cooperation and investment.
Chinese business leaders expressed their wish to increase investment in the Southeast Asian nation in all spheres of construction, energy, trade, real estate, electronics, environment, healthcare, biotechnology, chemicals, new materials, and agricultural products.
They vowed to continue to invest in the areas and projects mentioned by the Prime Minister as well as make contributions to Viet Nam's development process./.
