Chairman of Commission for External Relations elected to Secretariat

VGP – The Chairman of the Central Commission for External Relations, Le Hoai Trung, was elected to the Party Central Committee's Secretariat at the Party Central Committee's 8th plenum on October 6.

With Le, the Secretariat currently has 12 members, including Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai; Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac; Politburo member, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh; Chief of the Party Central Committee's Office Le Minh Hung, Chairman of the Central Commission for Education and Propagation Nguyen Trong Nghia, President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Chairwoman of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Bui Thi Minh Hoai, and Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai.

The same day, three new members were also elected to the Central Inspection Commission, raising the total members of the Commission to 22.
