WTO and Integration portal launched

VGP – The Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on January 29 inaugurated the WTO and Integration portal at www.trungtamwto.vn to enhance the role of the domestic business community in the process of making policies, negotiating and fulfilling international trade commitments.

The interface of www.trungtamwto.vn
The portal, in Vietnamese and English, provides legal documents, updated information, publications and documents about WTO and international trade agreements which Việt Nam has signed or is negotiating for. It also, covers legal issues relating to international economic integration.

On the occasion of the portal’s launching, the VCCI officially established an international trade policy advisory committee with 30 members being representatives from enterprises and authorized agencies.

Mr. Trần Hữu Huỳnh, VCCI’s Vice General Secretary, said the committee will act as a bridge linking enterprises and the State in the process of making policies, negotiating and fulfilling international trade commitments.

VCCI’s portal and the committee are part of the “Enterprises and International Trade Policies” program under the Multi-lateral Trade Assistance Policy Program Phase III (Mutrap III) funded by the EU.
