World Bank finances local road asset management
VGP - The PM has approved the bridge building and road asset management project financed by the World Bank.

The project aims to build bridges to ensure traffic safety for ethnic minority communities between 2014 and 2020, contributing to socio-economic and cultural development in rural areas, especially remote areas.
Specifically, nearly 676 km of rural road will be upgraded and over 61 km will be regularly maintained.
Besides, the project will help construct 2,170 out of 4,145 bridges that the Government has planned for the period 2014-2020.
The project will be launched between 2016 and 2021 with total capital of US$408.93 million, including US$383 from the World Bank and the rest covered by Viet Nam./.
