VGP – The water level in Yen Bai province's Thao River has risen to 65-year high due to prolonged heavy rain caused by typhoon Yagi.

Police and army forces help residents in Yen Bai city of Yen Bai province to move to safe places as heavy rain cause widespread inundation in the city

As of 5 a.m. on September 10, the river's water level reached 35.22 m, exceeding the floodwater level recorded in 1968.
