Vulnerable people to get cash gifts on 14th Party Congress occcasion
VGP - Vulnerable people shall get cash gifts on the occasion of the 14th Party Congress and the Lunar New Year Festival, the Government announced on Sunday.
Other beneficiaries include revolutionary veterans and orphaned childrens, the Government said.
The gift values VND40,000 (over US$15) per person, in cash.
The cash gift-giving must be completed no later than December 31, 2025. The Government assigned the Ministry of Finance to ensure the balance of central government budget resources for implementation of this policy.
The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with other ministries, departments, and localities, will distribute gifts through social security accounts on VNeID.
If necessary, the People's Committees of provinces and cities will direct the distribution of gifts to accounts receiving monthly allowances or payment in cash, ensuring that the gifts reach the correct recipients and within the specified timeframe.
Earlier, each Vietnamese citizen received VND100,000 (US$3.79) as gift on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day – September 2./.
