Volume of goods through seaports sets new record
VGP – The volume of goods through the Vietnamese seaports in the first two month of 2021 witnessed a year-on-year increase of 11%, reaching 113.5 million tons, according to the Viet Nam Maritime Administration, under the Ministry of Transport.

The volume of container cargo reached nearly 3.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) over the last two months, up 20% over the same period last year.
The Viet Nam Maritime Administration announced that the volume of goods through seaports in Viet Nam in January set a new record, up 28%.
Several seaports saw a high volume of goods throughput, including Dong Thap (up 190%), Thua-Thien Hue (up 124%), Thai Binh (up 99%) and Quang Nam (up 95%).
The volume of goods through some seaports remained high such as Ho Chi Minh City (14.8 million tons), Vung Tau (10.4 million tons), Quang Ninh (7.78 million tons) and Hai Phong (8.24 million tons).
