VN’s top 10 ICT Companies 2020 program launched

VGP- The Viet Nam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) has launched the selection programme for the Top 10 Viet Nam Information and Communication Technology Companies this year.

August 28, 2020 5:42 PM GMT+7

VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said the programme is looking to choose pioneering digital technology businesses, noting that the selection of the top 10 enterprises in each area, instead of 50, as in previous years, will help showcase truly outstanding firms.

The programme will select the top 10 Vietnamese Information and Communication Technology (ICT) businesses operating across 15 fields including software and IT service exporters, business process outsourcing companies, fintech businesses, e-Government solutions providers, start-ups, digital content companies, and those with products using artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

Each of the participating firms are required to undergo three rounds, while only enterprises operating for more than three years with a turnover of US$1 million, are eligible to participate in the scheme.

To be subject to evaluation by experts and IT correspondents, entrants should be enterprises that have operated for at least three years and earned at least US$ 1 million in revenue. They can vie for the Top 10 title in different categories.

Held annually since 2014, the programme is open until September 25. The Top 10 Vietnam ICT Companies 2020 is set to be named in November.

The scheme is held with the aim of responding to guidelines set out under the Prime Minister's Directive No. 01 on promoting the development of digital technology enterprises nationally, under which the country aims to have at least 100,000 digital technology enterprises in order to develop a digital economy by 2030./.
