VN, Slovenia spur economic linkages

VGP – Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on November 12 in Ha Noi hosted a reception for Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Pocicalsek who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

Deputy PM Hai warmly welcomed the working visit of the Slovenian delegation to Viet Nam.

The comprehensive ties between the two countries have been unceasingly consolidated and developed especially the trade turnover progressed significantly, said the host leader.

Viet Nam hopes to shake hands with Slovenia in industry, trade, and service, especially in garments, textiles, footwear, mechanics, automobile, industrial machines, logistics, and tourism, said Deputy PM Hai.

He also took the occasion to thank Slovenia’s support for Viet Nam especially in the negotiation process for the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) which will be signed soon in the near future and is expected to open up large business and investment opportunities for the two countries.

For his part, Minister Zdravko Pocicalsek revealed that he was accompanied by numerous big corporate executives who wanted to seek investment chances in Viet Nam; cement and deepen the fine relations between Viet Nam and Slovenia.

According to the guest leader, through meetings between Vietnamese and Slovenian ministries and partners, the two sides saw various advantages and opportunities for further cooperation, particularly in such areas as heavy industries, sea transportation, and logistics./.
