PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng met with PM Kim Hwang Sik on November 11 while staying in Seoul for the G20 Summit.

The Vietnamese PM confirmed that Việt Nam attaches importance to relations with the Republic of Korea (RoK) and considers the latter a leading economic partner.

He proposed that Việt Nam and the RoK should maintain high-level visits and contacts, effectively implement dialogue mechanisms on foreign affairs, security and defense, and strengthen cooperation on science, technology, education, training, and people-to-people exchanges.

The Vietnamese PM proposed the RoK Government to offer Việt Nam bigger official development assistance (ODA), intensify investment in key projects in Việt Nam, focusing on infrastructure development, energy, hi-tech and auxiliary industry. The two countries should strive to reach two-way trade value of US $20 billion in 2015.

PM Dũng also suggested the Korean Government further assist Vietnamese people who work, study and live in the Republic of Korea.
