VN looks to closer ties with Kuwait, Nepal

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, while attending the Copenhagen Climate Conference in Denmark, on December 17 (local time) separately hosted receptions to his Kuwaiti and Nepali counterparts.

Receiving Kuwaiti PM Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Vietnamese Government chief expressed his pleasure at the recent advancements of the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Việt Nam and the Arab country. 

The Kuwaiti PM thanked Việt Nam for facilitating the establishment of Kuwait’s Embassy in Hà Nội and its General Consulate in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Kuwait wants to foster ties with Vietnamese partners in the aspects of agriculture and food security, said PM Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng took this occasion to suggest the Middle East country offer more ODA packages and coordinate with Việt Nam in the areas of construction and petroleum.

During their meeting in Copenhagen, both Vietnamese and Nepali PMs informed each other about their domestic realities and agreed to share experience of poverty reduction and economic development. 

Việt Nam is willing to shake hands with Nepal in trade, agricultural and rural development, tourism, and culture, said the Vietnamese Government chief.

PM Dũng stated that both sides should continue to enhance their support and cooperation on international forums, especially the United Nations.
