VN listed as Top investment destination in Asia
VGP – Viet Nam was regarded as the most promising Asian investment destination in 2020 thanks to its potentials as a growing market and cheap and skilled labor supply, according to NNA Japan Co., a Kyodo News group company.
NNA Japan Co recently released a survey on Asian most promising investment destinations in 2020.
Accordingly, Viet Nam received 42.1% of the 820 valid responses, based on factors such as its potential as a growing market and large supply of skilled, low-cost labor.
Viet Nam’s GDP growth rate was regarded positively at over 6% since 2000 especially over 7% in 2018 which was the highest level over the past ten years.
In 2019, the growth pace stood at 7.03% amidst rising international and regional strategic competitions.
Trade surplus reached a record high of US$ 9.94 billion. Total FDI registered capital valued US$ 38.02 billion, the highest level over the past ten years. Budget overspending and inflation rate were kept under 3%.
In the survey, India ranked second at 12.2%, with expectations for its growing market and its potential as a doorway to the Middle East and Africa among the reasons./.
