VN, Liberia set up diplomatic ties
VGP – Viet Nam has officially established diplomatic ties with Liberia, marking the nation’s diplomatic relations with 53 nations in Africa and 187 nations around the world.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vu Hong Nam and Liberian Ambassador to China McKinley Thomas on June 28 inked the Joint Declaration to this effect in Ha Noi.
Liberia, officially known as the Republic of Liberia, is in the West African coast. It is bordered by Sierra Leone to its west, Guinea to its north and Ivory Coast to its east. It covers an area of 111,369 square kilometers and has population of 4.2 million people.
