The UN Global Compact Network encourages businesses to embrace ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environment, and anti-corruption. It calls on company to put these principles into their business strategies and daily business operations.
With close to about 4,000 organizations, trade unions and non-governmental organizations, and 3,100 businesses, including 500 in the Asian-Pacific region, the network is the largest voluntary initiative for businesses.
