VN, Indonesia discuss delimitation of the exclusive economic zone

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Trinh Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Boundary Commission under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Indonesian delegation was headed by Octavino Alimudin, Director for Political, Security and Territorial Treaties under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Viet Nam and Indonesia have continued their discussions on issues relating to the delimitation of the two countries’ EEZ boundary based on the principles of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). 

Both sides hoped that the outcomes of the negotiation round would contribute to enhancing the Viet Nam-Indonesia strategic partnership.
