In the receptions, Minister Pascal Clement affirmed to Vietnamese leaders that the French Government is willing to further cooperate with Vietnam in legislative and judicial fields. The guest also revealed that, in the time to come, the Vietnam-France House of Law will assist Vietnam in perfecting economic and business laws, so Vietnam can export more products to the world markets in the post-WTO period.

The Vietnamese leaders thanked and highly hailed France’s proactive assistance and effective cooperation, especially training Vietnamese students and officials. State President Nguyễn Minh Triết emphasized that Vietnam is carrying out a judicial reform to set up a powerful, transparent and effective legal system in conformity with the WTO’s regulations, especially in economy. So, Vietnam hopes to receive more help from France, the President said.

Informing the guest about significant achievements made by Vietnam during the past 20 years of renewal, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that Vietnam’s legal system has been considerably improved in the process of international economic integration. However, it should be further bettered to smoothly operate in a market regime. The PM was convinced that, through the Vietnam-France House of Law, Vietnamese law-makers will obtain better understanding of laws of the market economy. He also suggested the two sides enhance cooperation to increase the capacity of law making.
