VN confirms 21 new Covid-19 cases, total increases to 810

Of the latest cases, 20 are linked to the Covid-19 hotbed in Da Nang, including 15 in Da Nang, two in Quang Nam, two in Bac Giang, one in Khanh Hoa.

Specifically, patient 790 is a17-year old man who landed at the Noi Bai International Airport on August 6 on flight VN2 from the US.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 719 is 45-year old man in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa. He came in contact with a person who was later confirmed Covid-19 patient 751.

Patients 792 and 796 are residents of Quang Nam Province. One of them visited their relative and the other was a patient at the Da Nang Hospital.

The pair are being treated at the Quang Nam General Hospital.

Patients 793 and 794 are residents of Bac Giang Province. They are members of a family with travel records to Da Nang from July 21-27.

They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 795 and patients 797-810 are natives of Da Nang. Of these, one is a health worker and 13 others came in contact with people who later tested positive for Covid-19.

With these new patients, the number of cases linked to Da Nang rose to 353 since July 25.

The nation’s patient tally includes 317 imported cases.

As many as 395 patients have been cleared of Covid-19 and 10 others died of the virus and other diseases./.
