Addressing the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung extended his deep gratitude to Vietnamese herioc mothers, invalids and martyrs’ families.

Millions of Vietnamese people devoted their youth to the nation and millions of mothers, husbands, wives and children could not meet their beloved relatives after war, the Government chief noted.

He praised numerous efforts by inferior levels in providing effective and pratical support for war invalids, martyrs’ families, and people with meritorious services to the country.

Over the past decades, the Party and State have attached importance to their material and spiritual life through improving preferential policies.

The movement of “Paying Debt of Gratitude” to war veterans, war invalids, and families of social beneficiaries has also been expanding deeply and widely among communities, PM Dung noted.

He called on the whole country to continue to actively engage in the movement with pratical activities.
