Vietnamese, U.S. businesses need to enhance quality of cooperation, technological content: To Lam

General Secretary and President To Lam made the above suggestion while addressing a seminar with several U.S. business giants, which took place in New York on September 23 on the occasion of the top leader's participation in the high-level general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81).
The event was jointly organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council, and the business communities of the two countries.

He urged the U.S. businesses to launch long-term investment, venture capital, green finance and specialized investment funds, adding that U.S. financial institutions can help build market capacity, strengthen risk management, and develop a long-term investment ecosystem.
To also called on U.S. businesses to view Viet Nam not only as a production base but also as a rapidly growing consumer market and a gateway to the ASEAN market of around 680 million people.
Viet Nam stands ready to expand imports of U.S. technology products and services, while urging the U.S. to facilitate fair and transparent access to its market for Vietnamese goods and businesses, he shared.
Welcoming investment by major technology corporations and efforts to enhance the science and technology content of cooperation, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), To said Viet Nam is determined to advance AI in the new phase of development, while promoting responsible AI development and use for the benefit of people, businesses and organizations.
