Vietnamese nationals advised to leave Lebanon amid escalating tension

VGP – Vietnamese nationals staying in Lebanon have been advised to leave Lebanon when commercial flights are still operational, amid escalating and spreading tensions in the region.

September 23, 2024 9:26 PM GMT+7

This is part of an urgent notice issued recently by the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt and Lebanon.

If they cannot leave Lebanon due to force majeure, Vietnamese nationals should remain vigilant, keep close watch on local media, minimize gatherings, and avoid travelling to the following areas: Lebanon-Israel border, northern and eastern part of Beeka valley near the border with Syria.

Vietnamese nationals should stock food and medicine in case of worse situations, said the Embassy.

The embassy also recommended that those planning to travel to the Middle East country should suspend or cancel their trips until the situation is safe again.

In case of emergency, Vietnamese nationals should immediately contact embassy via the hotline: 20 102 613 9869; the Vietnamese Honorary Consulate of Vietnam in Lebanon: 961 70 229 300; or the citizen protection hotline: 84 981 84 84 84./.
